Our Opinion:
Astir Beach is located on the north coast of the wonderful Island of Crete, in the area of Gouves, only 18 km east of Heraklion, and close to the bustling resorts of Hersonissos and Malia. The hotel is separated from the beach by a (very low traffic) beach road. In the immediate vicinity of the hotel there are several bars, taverns, supermarkets and shops. The traditional village of Gouves is only 1 km away..

Resting on the north coast of the wonderful island of Crete and situated in Gouves by an extremely clean sandy coast and sea, it is an ideal beach resort for unforgettable vacation.
The hotel offers 165 modern and comfortable rooms fully equipped, with balcony or terrace, and most of them with a marvellous view to the sea.
In the main building there is the spacious and comfortable restaurant, an indoor bar, a lounge with satellite-TV, fireplace, pool and card tables and a conference room for about fifty persons.
On the grounds of the hotel, in front of the beach, you can find a smartly constructed swimming pool together with a separate children’s paddling pool, as well as a pool bar, a snack bar and a mini market. Sport enthusiasts will also find a court for volleyball and badminton, a mini golf, and a table-tennis table. For younger guests there is a lawn area with a children's playground.
