Aghios Myronas

The village of Aghios Myronas is built around ancient Rafkos, a settlement that flourished during the Minoan period (ca 1200 BC). It is a hillside settlement at a distance of 14 klms south of Heraklion city. There are panoramic views with visibility up to 50km. It is a suitable area for relaxed pace and open countryside surroundings with spectacular vistas of the sea and the Mount of Youchtas, Zeus’s legendary death place, even though it is said that he was immortal. In addition, its surroundings are with vineyards and olive groves strewn spread across lush hills and valleys. The climate of the area is mild.
