Anopoli

Anopoli is a beautiful village, 12 kilometres from Heraklion. The village holds beautiful small streets, from which one can make great pictures of a mountaintop. There are many churches and just before the village there is an old monastery. According to the legends, through the years, in this monastery many miracles have been taken place. Anopoli is surrounded by olive fields. In the area, several restaurants offer to the visitors the possibility to enjoy a Greek traditional folklore evening and to learn more about traditional Greek dances and music.
