Asteri Village, Rethymno

The tiny village Asteri is set in rolling hillsides and situated just 14 km east of Rethymnon town and only 11 kms from the famous Arcardi Monastery. In the area, there are gorges like Mili, Prasanos and Patsos (Tsirita), suitable to be explored. The lovely beach of Stavromenos is 5 kms away. The village has around 50 inhabitants and provides a café, a snack bar and some shops including a minimarket.
